The Apple Watch will finally be available to buy from retail stores from June 26.
Up until then, only online orders have been made — with the firm admitting there was a backlog of orders made through May.
The Apple Watch will also become available online, in stores and from authorised resellers in Italy, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland and Taiwan on the same date.
Apple’s senior vice president of operations Jeff Williams said: The response to Apple Watch has surpassed our expectations in every way, and we are thrilled to bring it to more customers around the world.
The watch is already available online in the UK, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong and Japan as well as the US.
There are three types of Apple Watch currently available, the Sport version priced at either £349 or $399, the normal Apple Watch, priced between $549 and $1,099, and the Apple Watch Edition which has 18-karat gold alloys and starts at a hefty $10,000.
To run the watch you need either an iPhone 5, 5c, 5s, 6, or six 6 Plus running iOS 8.2 or later.
The firm said all orders made by customers in May would now be delivered within two weeks, with the exception of the 42mm version in Space Black Stainless Steel with Space Black Link Bracelet.
Apple has been waiting to get those orders up to date before moving to selling the Apple Watch in retail stores as well as online.
All customers are offered a personalised setup, either online or in-store to pair the gadget with their iPhone and get advice on how it works.
